Why Biker Insurance Matters
There is no excuse for failing to obtain suitable biker insurance when you plan to travel on a motorcycle. Not only is it completely illegal, but it could result in you ending up in prison if an accident occurs. The criminal justice system takes a dim view on anyone who doesn’t take that seriously. Plus, you owe it to yourself as a responsible adult to get the right cover.
Here are some of the things that might happen if you refrain from doing the right thing…
The police are entitled to give you a hefty fine if you’re caught on the roads without insurance. These days, they have the technology that runs your number plate against their database in seconds. So, don’t think you can outsmart the law.
Loss of bike
In some circumstances, you might even lose ownership of your motorcycle if you’re caught without insurance. Police have the right to take your property and crush it. They do that to set an example.
If you cause a crash, you’re probably going to end in court. However, if you cause a crash and you have no insurance, you’re definitely going to end up in court. Judges are more than happy to throw the book at you for being so irresponsible.
So long as you have insurance, any money awarded to injured parties will not come from your own bank account. Even so, those without insurance will be sued by the injured party for thousands of dollars and could end up bankrupt.
Now you know why biker insurance matters, we expect you to get in touch with a reputable provider and sort it out as quickly as possible.
You know it’s the right thing to do.
